How to apply Interlux Goldspar Satin varnish

Goldspar Satin is low lustre modified Urethane Coatings designed for application to interior wood surfaces. Excellent handling qualities enable truly professional results.

Preparation
Naked WOODS: Sand with 80 class (barley) paper; Wipe with brushing Liquid 333. Apply transparent coat varnish is reduced 10% with brushing Liquid 333.
Previously VARNISHED WOODS: In Good Condition Sand area with 120-150 grade (barley) paper and remove dust.In poor conditions on varnish controlled badly or scaling, remove Finish to bare wood with Interstrip Semi-Paste 299E. follow the instructions for varnishing bare wood.

Method Use at least 5-6 coats on bare wood and a minimum of 3 coats on previously varnished surfaces until a satisfactory conclusion.Sand between each layer with 220 grade (barley) paper.Remove sanding block residue with a cloth dampened with brushing Liquid 333.

Application
Apply the paint with a brush is usually the best method, even if roller application can be effective on large, flat surfaces. Ventilation and Humidity ControlIt is best to paint in the warm, dry mornings.Cold weather inhibits drying and humidity can spoil gloss. remember to have good ventilation when applying rubbing power and by its drying time.
Airless Spray Pressure: 170 bar/2500 psi; Tip size: 0.33-0.41 mm/13-16.
Conventional Spray Pressure Pot:Pressure: 3.44-4.47 bar/50-65 psi (gun pressure);8-10 psi (pot pressure).Tip size: 1.0-1.4 mm/40-50. Siphon Cup: pressure vessels: 3.44-4.47 bar/50-65 psi – gun pressure.Tip size: 1,5-1,8 mm/60-70 you.
BrushAlways use a clean brush kept for varnishing.Clean brushes before using.
RolesIf rolling, using a thin nap roller and "tip off" with a purely natural bristle brush.
OtherSpray pressure listed are only recommendations. Applicator may use all the settings that give the best results for the individual hot spraying technology and current weather conditions.In order to improve the appearance of the bare wood and fill cellular open grain, applicable according to label directions Interstain and allow to dry overnight.

Too some important points large wet film thickness (more than 5 mile WFT) can lead to poor and ragged glory. never leave the bare wood are exposed for long periods of time it will absorb moisture; avoid using Goldspar Satin directly from the can as this will cause it to age prematurely, and may introduce contamination to can. failure to follow proper dry times carefully will cause incorrect drying, crimp and loss of adhesion. avoid painting in direct sunlight; the product temperature must be at least 10 50 degrees F and maximum 85 degrees f. ambient temperature should be at least 50 degrees F and a maximum of 95 degrees f. substrate temperature must be at least 50 degrees F and maximum 85 degrees f

Compatibility/substrate attach to clean, dry, properly prepared surfaces only. Goldspar Satin varnish can be used at all as long as it is well and have been cleaned and milled; not two part varnish over Goldspar Satin.

Number of CoatsAt least 5-6 cover Bare Wood: thin first coat 10%
